UAF waives the application fee for applicants using veteran educational benefits and active duty members of the military. 

We accept credits from Joint Services Transcript (JST), which includes Officer and Warrant Officer training, joint military training conducted by other services, and DANTES funded test scores. We also accept credits from 空军大学/空军社区学院. Undergraduate Licensure applicants will need to provide official ACT or SAT scores.

Graduate Licensure applicants will need to provide official ACT, SAT, or GRE* scores.

Since you do not require a student visa to attend UAF, you will not need to complete the additional international application steps.

The admission qualifications for international applicants are the same as domestic applicants with the addition of:

• Proof of English Proficiency

Minimum required English proficiency:

• A minimum TOEFL score of 79.
• A minimum IELTS score of 6.5.

After admission, international students are required to provide specific documents as part of the visa process. Students are required to submit the Financial Statement (PDF)，资金证明和公民身份文件，以便获得签证. Connect with the International Student and Scholar Services early to get the process started.

International Students who are applying to an online only degree do not need to fulfill the visa requirements.

Anyone can take classes at UAF. There are no GPA or transcript requirements to be a non-degree seeking student, however some courses require prerequisite coursework or test scores in order to enroll. Please visit the registration page to sign-up for a class.
